Each Spring, we celebrate Virginia’s devoted, hard-working, and resilient child care workforce. As we prepare to celebrate Child Care & Early Childhood Professionals Day on Friday, May 10, 2024, we invite you to reflect on the early care professionals in your life. Child Care Aware of Virginia aims to recognize those who have the most profound impact on the industry and invite you to honor them with a nomination for the 2024 Heart of Service Lifetime Achievement Award.
HEART OF SERVICE LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD
The Heart of Service Lifetime Achievement Award celebrates excellence in the field of child care. It honors a provider’s long-term commitment and dedication to the education, safety, and well-being of children in their care. This year’s award will be presented to one early childhood professional to show our appreciation for their many years of invaluable service to the community.
Nominations open April 1st-April 15th!
Winner will be announced on May 10, 2024, on the Child Care Aware of Virginia Facebook page in honor of Child Care & Early Childhood Professionals Day.
Child Care Aware of Virginia neither endorses nor recommends any nominated or winning individual or facility.
Nomination Guidelines
- Nominees must work in a legally operating, state-regulated child care center or family child care home. This includes Licensed, Religious Exempt, Voluntarily Registered, or Locally-Permitted programs.
- Nominees must have 20+ years of service and a demonstrated commitment to a career of caring for children.
- Your nominee may not be a staff member of any Child Care Aware of Virginia agency. Child Care Aware of Virginia personnel are not eligible to participate in nominations.
