In Virginia, nearly 45% of households have at least 1 gun.1  For those individuals who choose to own guns, safe storage is essential to ensure children do not have access to weapons that could be used to unintentionally cause serious injury or death. It’s not about owning guns. It’s about being responsible for safe gun storage for those who care for children to ensure they never have access to potentially dangerous weapons.
