Never use a car seat as a replacement for a crib or bassinet outside of the car.
- Car Seats are great for road trips, not naps.
- Install the car seat at the proper recline.
- Choose the proper car seat for your child’s age and size.
- Keep all straps and buckles properly secured at all times.
- Follow the 2-Hour Rule.
- If your baby falls asleep in the car seat, monitor them closely (especially their head position) and transfer them to a firm mattress in a crib or bassinet as soon as possible.
- Never leave a sleeping baby unattended in a car, not even for a quick errand.
