Virginia Child Care Mapping Project – illustrates the full supply of child care in Virginia (pre-COVID-19) in relation to poverty and other factors. This mapping is updated appx. every 6 months.
Child Care Supply Data by Locality – reports have various data points, are available online and at no charge. Data provided on these reports include the number of child care programs by regulation type, program type, licensed capacity, and self- reported cost of care. *These reports have been temporarily disabled due to COVID-19, and will resume when the child care industry returns to full capacity.
The State of Child Care in Virginia during COVID-19 – This map illustrates the current supply of child care across the Commonwealth, indicating which programs have closed and which programs are still operating. Child Care Aware of Virginia will update this map on a once-weekly basis.
